Hi all,

So glad that I chanced upon a forum like this and to experience that …’you are not alone!!’ feeling (excuse me for brevity). I have been suffering from severe HH since childhood and I am a R&OR of India. Interestingly my sweating goes mad during the winters. Sweat literally drips from palms and no! I am not a nervous person at all.

Twice in 7 years, I have turned down offers for supervisory position because of this….. 33 and foolishly hoped that it would subside over time!! Such is life.

Can something, someone, somewhere, cure my palms at least.

I am 22 years old. My both hands and feet is any time sweaty so Iwant treatment in india . I am very sad this problem. I think my life is curse so please help me

Hmm I’m a little worried about the “do it yourself” thing, but if it’ll get rid of this sweet. How do I get rid of the facial sweating? Stick my head in the pan? (kidding ) But yea my brothers have decided to call me the floodgates cause I can literally make my hands drip…so good to know there are others and that there are possible cures, thanks!

I have had hyperhydrosis for about almost 4 yrs now. It started at 48 yrs old and has gotten worse and worse, I’m 51 now. I have been to the doctor about it and she says it male menopause, but I do not believe her. My case is EXTREME! I go through up to 12 shirts, 4 to 6 pair of pants, 8 to 12 pair of underwear and a dozen or more pair of socks per day. I drag face cloths and towels with me everywhere I go which is nowhere now a days. I have fans in every room and have to have 2 of them on me at night time while trying to sleep. I have gained close to 100 lbs because I don’t do anything or exercise any more because I am on Community Assistance and I can’t keep up to the laundry. I am embarrassed everywhere I go, which is …..well, only to Church now and that’s because I am the drummer in the Worship Group Band or I likely would not go there either. I have been told the only thing that will work is Testosterone or Botox and I don’t have the money for either. So, I know how you all feel and all I ask for is that you pray for me and I will pray for you. I understand completely.

i also have HH. it started after my chemo therapy, my armpit sweat a lot and it’s dripping. what i do is… i’m using menstrual pad! yes! crazy but it works! i have to wear an undershirt coz its where i put the pad and wear my shirt of the day. i’m doing this for almost 5 years now. but i wish i could find a cure for this! if not, i have no reason to be upset coz there’s always an alternative. let your mind work!

I also am a victim of Hyperhidrosis and having this really hurts you socially. It got to the point that I get VERY self-conscious about this whenever I meet someone and they want to shake my hand I usually pull back or say “i don’t do hand shakes, i do hugs!” which is weird BUT it’s helped me avoid some handshakes, SOME. Some people shake my hand and of course go onto their usual “EHWW WHY ARE YOUR HANDS ALL WET.” I usually try to cover it by saying that I just washed my hands or something but I can’t always cover. :/

I’ve had hyperhidrosis since 3rd grade and i HATE it. i wish it would be gone already I have been through the BOTOX injections (didn’t work for me after having them done 7 times!!). My sweating is OUT OF CONTROL its annoying, disturbing, & embarrassing. I will be trying out this treatment next because I’m really tired of SWEATING. I’m 20 years old, and I have been putting up with this for so long that I TRY my best to ignore it and it used to bug me but then I just kept ignoring the fact that i sweat so much until recently when some guy tried to shake my hand I refused…and then another guy tried and again i tried to avoid it….and it was on the third person’s attempt to shake my hand that another guy pointed out TO EVERYONE that I “was weird for not shaking people’s hands” then in the end he told EVERYONE that I’m a germaphobic (however you spell that) and this really……upset me to have everyone laugh at me saying I don’t want to touch people for that reason. :/

I’m just glad to know that I am not the only one that has to live with this condition day after day. If you have any treatments that have worked or ANYTHING please let me know!

Hey guys.. How are your researches regarding the treatments? I’m also suffering from HH since high school.. Im a 21 now and I just finished my college, I should have been a performer during my school days but because of this I usually just hide behind the shadows, I don’t like to be noticed..

So I was not able to perform well, I also took up education.. But did not pursue it coz I know how hard it would be to teach and get sweaty all the time, so instead I had a career change, I’m now in the BPO industry where I get to be in a cold place all the time and I have to work in evening..

This is not life though, but we cant just lost hope, there are others who are suffering worst than we are, who cant even go out.. lucky for us we can still find someone who’ll accept us right? Cheer up guys.. It may not as easy as it may seem, but its not the end of the world..

Hey all,I have had the HH condition since I was 4-5 years.It has negatively affected my social life,my classes and church.I learn about the surgery but the chances of the cure is 50-50.Am worried because as much as I try to get the right information on HH cure a dark cloud seems to be engulfing my way.Some body with info,kindly share,we are out there suffering………kenya…….

hi everyone!!! I’m an HH sufferer myself, 22 yrs old. I’ve been constantly gathering information on how to control this “horrible” condition..

1.I’ve tried IONTOPHORESIS .,its seems to work for me ,but the results are temporary.i cud go without sweating for one month.,but u need to continue doing it..i needed only 6-7 sittings,each costing rs.100.
my doctor also tried giving medications to calm my mind and reduce my stress but that doesn’t work for me
also i’ve heard that imbalance between sodium,potassium and water can cause HH and low BP..i’m stil gathering information about that..

i hav HH in my palm and feet..i also have extremely dry lips and throat and low BP..

The most important thing u must remember is to “RELAX” and take steps to relieve stress in your own way..because HH is condition related with sympathetic nervous system.i practice yoga and try keeping calm always..and away from heat..also try to wear light colored cloths to cover sweat patches..I’m still continuing my study and hope someday i would com to know about a cure..hope this helps you..<3

4got to mention about Botox injections..heard they are extremely painful and costly,but effective for some..also the ETS surgery..but there is only 50-50 chance and the side effects are that u sweat in other body parts..also antiperspirants like drysol are effective for”some”..i have not tried any of the above..n prefer natural methods myself..IONTOPHORESIS machine is where u soak ur hands and feet in water slightly charged,and don’t worry you wont get any shock or anything..surely this treatment is in my “hit list” so far..have faith in GOD!!if there is a will there would be a way..
